Paul Mescal, the breakout star of Normal People, will step into the iconic shoes of Paul McCartney. In an exclusive statement, Mendes, whose previous works include American Beauty and 1917, expressed his long-held passion for telling the story of The Beatles: “I’ve been trying to make a story about The Beatles for years. While their rise to fame has been well-chronicled, I can assure you there is still plenty to explore.” Mendes, known for his meticulous direction and ability to blend historical accuracy with cinematic flair, promises a deep dive into the personal and creative journeys of each member of the Fab Four.
