Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya's latest movie Thandel starring Sai Pallavi released in theatres today (February 7) and the actor has been earning accolades from his fans and family alike.

She shared the poster of the movie on Thursday night and praised her husband for working hard on this movie.

“I have seen you be so focused and positive through the making of this film, can’t want for everyone (and myself) experience this extraordinary love story in the theatres from tomorrow," she wrote.
Thandel is based on a real-life incident from 2018, where a group of fishermen from Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, accidentally crossed into Pakistani waters and were detained.
Thandel's plot revolves around the struggles of these fishermen, their time spent in jail, and the emotional and inspirational journey they embarked upon. It also features a love story inspired by the real-life couple involved in the incident.
“The love story in the film, which involves me and Sai, is based on what actually happened. The wife of one of the fishermen played a pivotal role in bringing them back to India, fighting for their release, and motivating the government to intervene," Chaitanya said in an interview.
Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala tied the knot in December this year in a traditional wedding ceremony held in Hyderabad.
Thandel is directed by Chandoo Mondeti and the film also stars Sai Pallavi opposite Naga Chaitanya.
