The much-awaited film Thama, produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, has finally given fans a glimpse of Rashmika Mandanna’s character. The makers unveiled her first look on Instagram, introducing her as Tadaka, “Roshni ki ek hi pehli kiran.”

With an intense expression, a fierce aura, and a dark mystical backdrop, Rashmika’s look has already ignited curiosity among audiences, setting the stage for an exciting horror-comedy spectacle.

Horror-comedy as a genre has seen massive success in India in recent years, thanks to films like Stree, Bhediya, and Munjya. Maddock Films, often credited as the flagbearer of this revival, has built a unique “Horror Comedy Universe” that has consistently delivered hits.

Thama is the newest addition to this lineup, following the triumph of Stree, Bhediya, Munjya, and the upcoming Stree 2.

Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, Thama was announced in 2024, and fans have been eagerly waiting for more updates ever since.

The makers have now revealed that the official teaser will drop on August 19, 2025, at 11:11 a.m., further fueling excitement. Apart from the lead pair, the film also features veteran actors Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in crucial roles, promising a powerful ensemble cast.

Although the makers have kept plot details under wraps, early reports suggest that Thama revolves around the chilling tale of a vampire. Given the track record of Maddock’s horror-comedies, audiences can expect a perfect mix of thrills, laughs, and supernatural intrigue.
