Tamil actor Ravi Mohan has approached the Madras High Court, seeking Rs 9 crore in compensation from production house Bobby Touch Gold Universal Private Limited for allegedly wasting his time and not utilizing his call sheets for two proposed films, as per recent reports.
According to a report by The New Indian Express, the actor filed the petition after the production house filed a civil suit demanding that he return Rs 6 crore, which they claimed was paid to him as an advance.
Justice Abdul Quddhose heard the case on Wednesday. In his appeal, Ravi asked the court to order the production company's property to be attached and to require them to provide a Rs 9 crore security deposit until the matter was settled.
In court, Ravi argued that he had blocked 80 continuous call sheets from January 1, 2025, to March 21, 2025, and that the production company had agreed on shooting schedules for one of the two films. However, he claimed he was entitled to compensation because production delays caused him to lose important time.
When the court asked Ravi to reply to the production company's civil suit on Tuesday, the dispute took a new turn.
In that lawsuit, the production company requested an interim injunction prohibiting Ravi from working on any project, either alone or in collaboration with outside producers, until the issue was resolved, in addition to requesting a reimbursement of the Rs 6 crore advance.

They claim that because Ravi intended to make his own movie instead, he broke the agreement.
On the professional front, Ravi Mohan was last seen in the romantic drama Kadhalika Neramillai, co-starring Nithya Menen.
