Tamil actor and social media sensation Bijili Ramesh has passed away following a prolonged illness. The Kollywood film industry awoke to the sad news on the morning of August 27, marking the end of an era for the actor who had become a beloved figure online and on screen.
46 year-old Bijili Ramesh, who first gained attention for his unique personality and antics on a popular YouTube channel, passed away at 9:00 PM on August 26. His funeral is set to take place today at 5:00 PM at his residence in MGR Nagar.
Bijili Ramesh, who was best known for his quirky style and humor, first captured the public's attention through a viral YouTube video where he openly shared his admiration for Superstar Rajinikanth.
His charisma quickly caught the eye of Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi, who gave him his big break in the film Natpe Thunai. This marked the beginning of Ramesh's journey in Tamil cinema, where he went on to appear in several films, including Zombie, Comali, Watchman, A1, Aadai, Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja, and LKG.
Bijili Ramesh's rise to fame was further solidified by director Nelson Dilipkumar, who transformed the YouTube star into a recognizable face in Tamil cinema.
Although Ramesh's roles were mostly brief, his presence left a lasting impact on audiences. He also made appearances on various television shows, continuing to entertain his fans.
However, behind the scenes, Bijili Ramesh struggled with a chronic illness, reportedly linked to liver damage caused by his alcohol addiction. In a recent YouTube interview, the actor appeared visibly weak and opened up about his health struggles, admitting that his alcohol consumption had taken a toll on his body.
Despite his efforts to seek treatment, Bijili Ramesh's condition deteriorated in the last few months. His family even reached out to his colleagues for financial assistance to cover medical expenses. Unfortunately, the actor lost his battle with the illness, passing away on the night of August 26.
