Suniel Shetty, daughter Athiya praise her husband KL Rahul for his historic IPL achievement, former calls him a 'storm in disguise'

Actor Suniel Shetty and daughter Athiya Shetty praised her husband-cricketer KL Rahul, as he scripted history in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Delhi Capitals (DC) batter KL Rahul became the first ever player in the history of IPL to smash a century at least for three different franchises.

The father-daughter duo took to their Instagram Stories and appreciated the cricketer for his achievement. Athiya reposted a clip from Delhi Capitals' official page showcasing KL Rahul in action on the field, adding a red heart emoji and choosing "Believer" by Imagine Dragons as the background track.

Meanwhile, Suniel like a proud father-in-law also shared a photo of Rahul during the match and wrote "a storm in disguise".

During his team's IPL match against the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday, KL Rahul achieved an incredible milestone. With a spectacular performance, the star batsman scored 143 runs, his fifth IPL century.

The romance between Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul started in 2019, but they kept it quiet for a while before formally announcing their relationship in 2021. When they were married on January 23, 2023, in front of close friends and family, it marked a wonderful milestone in their journey together.
