SS Rajamouli urges citizens to act responsibly amid India-Pakistan tension, says, "stay calm, victory is ours"

As tensions escalate between India and Pakistan, celebrated filmmaker SS Rajamouli took to social media to voice his support for the Indian Armed Forces and urge citizens to act responsibly during these sensitive times. In a now-viral tweet, the ‘RRR’ and ‘Baahubali’ director praised the army’s courage and emphasized the need for national unity and awareness.

“Saluting our Brave Indian Armed Forces for their unwavering courage in protecting our nation from terrorism. Let’s stand together as a nation, inspired by their valor, to build a future of peace and unity,” Rajamouli tweeted. He also issued a strong caution to the public: “If you see any movement of the Indian Army, don’t take pictures or videos. Don’t share them as you might be helping the enemy.”

The filmmaker’s message comes at a time when the Indian Army is tackling multiple cyber and drone attacks, with over 500 Pakistani drones reportedly targeting 24 cities during a 210-minute assault on May 8, according to Army sources.

Rajamouli urged citizens to avoid forwarding unverified claims or rumors. “Stop forwarding unverified news or claims. You’ll only create noise, which the enemy wants. Stay calm, alert and positive. Victory is ours,” he wrote.

The director’s appeal is a timely reminder of the importance of information discipline and national solidarity. He joins a growing number of public figures who have voiced their concern and support for India’s defense forces during Operation Sindoor, a counter-terror strategy currently underway.

On the professional front, Rajamouli is also in the news for his much-anticipated upcoming film, SSMB29, starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra. The film, written by his father Vijayendra Prasad, began shooting in January 2025 and is expected to release in 2028.

While details are still under wraps, the film is described as an epic adventure. Rumors suggest Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran might also be part of the project, though there’s been no official confirmation.
