As Pawan Kalyan starrer Telugu film Ustaad Bhagat Singh continues to draw attention following its release on March 19, its leading ladies Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna have opened up about a more personal side of their journey—dealing with online trolling and the emotional toll it can take.

During a candid promotional interaction with host Suma Kanakala, the two actors spoke honestly about their early experiences with social media criticism and how it affected them. When asked whether they felt scared of trolls, Sreeleela admitted that it deeply impacted her when she first entered the industry.

“I did when I first started in this industry,” she said, adding, “I used to feel so bad about it, I would cry. I even told my mother, I don’t think I’ll be able to do this. Should I go back to school or college? I was so sensitive, but now I’m immune to it.”

Raashii Khanna echoed similar concerns, noting that the situation has only worsened over time. “I feel it a little bit now, because the trolling has gotten intense. I think they pass judgment without really knowing the truth. I have a problem with that. The character I’ve built for so long, I just fear that…”

Sreeleela, however, added a more hopeful perspective, suggesting that audiences today are more discerning. “But I feel like people today have an intellect of their own. So, even when they see negativity, they think a little,” she said, as Raashii agreed but pointed out another side of online culture, adding, “People write anything just for clickbait though.”

Beyond her acting career, Sreeleela recently marked a major personal milestone by completing her education and graduating with an MBBS degree. Moments from her graduation ceremony quickly went viral, especially as she managed to balance her studies alongside a busy film career, featuring in projects like Bhagavanth Kesari and Guntur Kaaram.

Looking ahead, Sreeleela is set to expand her horizons further. She will next be seen in Dhanush’s upcoming Tamil film and is also gearing up for her Bollywood debut in an untitled project directed by Anurag Basu, alongside Kartik Aaryan.

Meanwhile, Raashii Khanna has a packed slate of projects lined up. She will reprise her role in Farzi 2, directed by Raj & DK, and will also be seen in Rowdy and Co in Tamil. In Hindi, she has multiple films in the pipeline, including Talaakhon Mein Ek, Bridge, and an untitled project directed by Anees Bazmee.
