Netflix’s Co-CEO, Ted Sarandos, recently attended a meet-up in Mumbai last evening with a talented group of emerging storytellers, actors, writers, and directors/creators. India has become the hub for entertainment, and the streaming giant has continued to invest in the country’s creative community.
The event was an informal sundowner event, and celebrated some of the service's most talked-about films and series, including the bold, original voices behind recent successes like 2025’s breakout series Black Warrant, Heeramandi, and acclaimed titles including Laapataa Ladies, Kohrra, Mismatched, and Darlings.
The evening celebrated Netflix's growing partnership with India's emerging talent, highlighting stories that connect with local audiences and appeal to global viewers. The event united several talented actors and creators alongside the cast and masterminds behind the titles on Netflix under one roof.

The event was attended by the actors, including Black Warrant star Zahan Kapoor, Laapataa Ladies stars Sparsh Shrivastava, Nitanshi Goel, as well as Pratibha Ranta.
Mismatched star Rohit Saraf, Heeramandi actor Taha Shah Badussha, along with several other actors like Avinash Tiwary, Ritwik Bhowmik, Ahsaas Channa, Aadil Zafar Khan, Shalini Pandey, Mihir Ahuja, Naila Grewal, Sidhant Gupta and Anurag Thakur, also graced the informal event.
The gathering also featured writers and directors, including Gazal Dhaliwal, Rahul Pandey, Jasmeet K Reen, Kunal Aneja, Satyanshu Singh, Gunjit Chopra, Soumendra Padhi, Debatma Mandal, and Shiv Rawail.
