Sonakshi Sinha and Reema Kagti are collaborating again for the highly anticipated Season of 2023 television series Dahaad. They will soon reunite for the upcoming project, Dahaad 2.
The actress will start shooting in December 2025. The recent reports have suggested that the upcoming web series is currently in the pre-production stage.
According to Pinkvilla, a source has revealed, “The script is locked, and the web-series is presently in the pre-production stage. While Sonakshi Sinha will be back to play the part of SI Anjali Bhaati, the casting for other characters is underway.”
The source added, “Much like Dahaad, the second season too will feature a strong actor as the antagonist and the casting for same is underway.”
The actor-director duo have previously worked together on the recently released Superboys of Malegaon. Sonakshi will return to her role as a police officer in Dahaad, which will centre on an exciting tale of Indian society. The series will be available on Amazon Prime Video.
Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar created the show, which was directed by Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi and starred Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Devaiah, Vijay Varma, and Sohum Shah. The serial killer Mohan Kumar, also known as Cyanide Mohan, who preyed on women wishing to get married, served as its inspiration.

The series revolves around Anjali Bhaati, who investigates a series of deaths where women are found dead in public bathrooms. The death first appears to be a suicide, but as the investigation progresses, Bhaati realises that there's a serial killer on the loose.
Besides this, Sonakshi Sinha is also gearing up for Rowdy Rathore sequel co-starring Akshay Kumar. After the buzz about being shelved, the makers have recently revealed that they have locked the script.
