Akshay Kumar is all set for the release of his upcoming film Sky Force, and the makers dropped its official trailer on Sunday, January 5. In the trailer, Akshay is seen alongside debutant Veer Pahariya, both looking as striking as ever in their roles as Indian Air Force officers. The film promises high-flying action and a thrilling storyline, building anticipation for its release.
Makers of the film, Maddock Films and Akshay kumar, a collab post shared the trailer of the film on Instagram along with the caption, "This Republic Day, witness the untold story of a heroic sacrifice - the tale of India’s first and deadliest airstrike. Mission #SkyForce - In Cinemas 24th January 2025#SkyForceTrailer out now."
The film, based on a true story, is finally set to release in theaters on January 26, 2025, after much anticipation and delay. It draws inspiration from real events, particularly the moment when the Indian Air Force posthumously awarded the Maha Vir Chakra to one of its fighters.

Sky Force is inspired by India’s retaliatory strike on the Pakistani airbase at Sargodha. In 1965, a direct confrontation took place between the Indian and Pakistani Air Forces. On September 6th, Pakistani forces launched an attack on Indian airbases at Pathankot and Halwara, prompting the Indian forces to counterattack Sargodha.
The film also features Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur in key roles. Directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur, it is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Amar Kaushik.
