Siddhanth Kapoor reached the Ghatkopar ANC Narcotic Office on Tuesday afternoon as part of ongoing procedures in a major drug-related investigation. The actor, who is the brother of Shraddha Kapoor, has been asked to appear again on November 25 to officially record his statement. Influencer Orhan Awatramani, widely known as Orry, has been summoned on November 26 after failing to turn up on Thursday despite being called in.
Their names surfaced during the interrogation of Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, a central figure in a Rs 252 crore mephedrone case. Shaikh, known in nightlife circles as Lavish, allegedly ran drug-fuelled parties across India and abroad. During questioning, he reportedly claimed that several film and fashion personalities, a politician, and even a relative of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim had attended these gatherings.
Siddhanth Kapoor’s involvement is under close scrutiny, especially because he was apprehended in Bengaluru in 2022 for alleged drug consumption at a rave. That history has placed additional focus on his statements in the current case. Sources said he is cooperating with investigators and complied with the summons without delay.
Orry, meanwhile, sought more time to appear before the ANC on Thursday, prompting officials to schedule a fresh date. His name, too, was mentioned by Shaikh during interrogation, along with several other well-known figures.

The wider investigation traces back to March 2024, when police raided a farmhouse in Sangli and uncovered a mephedrone manufacturing unit. Officers seized 126.14 kilograms of the synthetic drug, valued at around Rs 252 crore, triggering one of the biggest narcotics cases in recent years. Shaikh was first arrested in connection with that raid. After being deported from Dubai last month, he was taken into custody by the Ghatkopar ANC for further questioning.
Along with Siddhanth and Orry, Shaikh has reportedly named Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhant Kapoor, filmmaker duo Abbas–Mustan, rapper Loka, and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique. Officials are examining these claims carefully, stressing that the process of summoning celebrities does not imply guilt but is a standard part of evidence-building.
