Shraddha Arya to make a comeback as Preeta in Kumkum Bhagya, watch new promo

In the gripping new promo, emotions run high as Preeta’s daughter arrives at a hospital searching desperately for her missing mother.

Television's beloved actress Shraddha Arya, who took a maternity break recently, is official set to come back on the popular show Kumkum Bhagya as 'Preeta' alongside actor Shakti Anand. Zee TV shared the official promo of her return in the show with the latest story angle, to much of viewers' excitement.

The two will return to the show and reprise their roles as Preeta and Karan Luthra — characters that gained popularity on the show’s spin-off Kundali Bhagya, which concluded its seven-and-a-half-year run in December.

Kumkum Bhagya is set to air on Zee TV and the channel shared the latest promo featuring Shraddha and Shakti on Instagram on April 22.

In the gripping new promo, emotions run high as Preeta’s daughter arrives at a hospital searching desperately for her missing mother. There, she crosses paths with Karan, who asks whom she’s looking for. When she replies, "Aapni maa ko" Karan is stirred and says, "Main aapni Preeta ko".

In a poignant moment, a woman—Preeta—passes by on a stretcher, and as their hands brush unknowingly, a wave of familiarity hits Karan. The promo beautifully teases a powerful reunion story: a daughter yearning to find her mother, and a man unknowingly on the brink of rediscovering his lost love.

The caption read, "Bhagya le aaya hai Preeta aur Karan ko Prarthana ki zindagi mein, ab kya hoga iss kahaani ka naya mod? Dekhiye #KumkumBhagya, har roz, raat 9 baje, sirf #ZeeTV par."

Kumkum Bhagya will air everyday on ZEE TV at 9pm. Earlier, a source told ETimes that the duo were set to begin shooting for the show sometime next week.

Shraddha Arya rose to fame after her stint as Preeta in long running television daily soap Kundali Bhagya which originally starring alongside Dheeraj Dhoopar and Manit Joura. Fans adored Shraddha and Dheeraj as the original Preeta and Karan, forming an iconic on-screen pair. After Dheeraj’s departure, the role of Karan was successively portrayed by Shakti Arora and later Shakti Anand, continuing the legacy of the beloved character.

Meanwhile, Shraddha took a break from acting and quit the show after she announced her pregnancy. she recently welcomed twins, Shaurya and Siya last year along with husband Rahul Nagal.
