Actor and model Sherlyn Chopra has opened up about a major health decision, revealing that she chose to get her breast implants removed after months of intense physical discomfort. Sherlyn Chopra shared the update with her followers on Instagram, explaining that the surgery was the result of persistent pain that had begun to affect her everyday life.

“Since the last couple of months, I have been enduring chronic back, chest, neck and shoulder pain and chronic pressure in my chest area,” she wrote. After multiple medical consultations, she finally understood what was triggering her symptoms.

“After a series of medical investigations and back and forth consultations, I have

realised that the cause of my chronic pain has been my heavy breast implants, and so in my best interests, and to bring back agility, vitality and stamina into my life, I have decided to have my breast implants removed once and for all,” expressed Chopra, 38.

Just before heading into surgery, Sherlyn Chopra recorded a video capturing her state of mind. Despite the gravity of the moment, her tone carried more anticipation than fear.

“Am I nervous? A little….excited? Immensely. I cannot wait to start a brand new life with no excess baggage. I pray that the almighty bless me and the hands of the surgeons who are going to be performing my breast implant removal surgery today,” the Wajah Tum Ho actor shared.

Sherlyn Chopra mentioned that this was not her first step toward embracing a more natural version of herself.

“In Aug 2023, I had gotten all the fillers, removed from my face so as to look like my authentic self. And today, I’m undergoing a breast implant removal surgery so as to live life with no excess baggage,” she wrote in her caption.

At the same time, she made it clear that her decision was purely personal, not a commentary on cosmetic procedures.

“Please understand that this post is not about criticising fillers and/or silicon implants and/or the lovers of the same. This post reflects purely my choice to embrace myself just the way I am,” said Chopra.

The honesty in her confession struck a chord online. Many netizens praised her vulnerability and courage, filling the comments with support. One follower wrote, “I haven’t heard this honest and intelligent thoughts from her ever …. wishing you good health and speedy recovery…” Another added, “Appreciate your honesty…..sending more power and blessings your way.”

A third comment captured the collective sentiment: “Respect for your honesty and courage. It takes a lot of strength to choose authenticity over validation. Wishing you healing & more power ahead.”

Sherlyn Chopra’s decision arrives at a moment when discussions around body image, cosmetic procedures, and self-acceptance continue to evolve. Her choice to step back, listen to her body, and speak openly about it gives the conversation another honest voice — one grounded as much in physical pain as in personal clarity.
