At the Met Gala 2025, Shah Rukh Khan made a genuinely magnificent debut, radiating effortless charm and demonstrating why he is still unchallenged as Bollywood's King.

His look was a masterclass in grace, elegance, and cultural pride rather than merely a red carpet moment. As anticipated, Shah Rukh attracted attention as soon as he arrived, making a lasting impression on the biggest night in fashion. His famous blue carpet pose, which went viral right away and sent fans into a frenzy, was a defining highlight of the evening.

Shah Rukh wore a floor-length, royal coat with monogrammed Japanese horn buttons made of opulent Tasmanian superfine wool for his Met Gala debut. With its wide lapels and peak collar, the single-breasted coat was expertly hand-canvassed, displaying a silhouette that combined classic tailoring with modern sophistication.

Sharply tailored superfine wool trousers and a crepe de chine silk shirt went well with it. The pleated satin kamarbandh added a unique touch and gave the ensemble a nod to Indian tradition.

An exquisitely made Bengal Tiger Head Cane, a gorgeous piece of jewellery crafted in 18k gold and embellished with tourmalines, sapphires, old mine cut, and brilliant cut diamonds, further complemented Shah Rukh's appearance. Like the man himself, this dramatic flourish represented strength, power, and grace in addition to lending a hint of royal grandeur.

Renowned designer Sabyasachi, who created the ensemble, shared snippets of the star's time on the Met steps on his official Instagram. Additionally, stylist Shaleena Nathani shared photos, praising the look's artistry and perfection.

Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, this year's Met Gala theme, honours the long-lasting impact of Black fashion, which dates back to the 18th century. The theme examines the idea of the Black dandy as an empowering expression of identity, resistance, and style, drawing inspiration from Monica L. Miller's seminal 2009 book Slaves to Fashion.
