Shah Rukh Khan will be joining the elite group of A-listers, designers, and influencers from all over the world at this esteemed gala, which honours both art and fashion.

The exciting announcement was confirmed by DietSabya, an anonymous fashion account on Instagram known for breaking news about the fashion world.

We at DietSabya can confirm: Yes, that is indeed SRK—India's undisputed generational superstar—making his Met Gala debut in May 2025, wearing Sabyasachi (India's biggest luxury brand). But wait, was there ever a doubt? Are we excited? Or...? Catch you on the carpet."

Fans of Shah Rukh Khan can look forward to seeing him walk the Met Gala red carpet wearing the iconic Indian luxury label Sabyasachi. While it has been confirmed that he will wear the designer, whether his entire outfit will be head-to-toe Sabyasachi remains a mystery—something we’ll all have to wait to see.

The theme for this year’s Met Gala, curated by Andrew Bolton of The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, is "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style." The theme draws inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, and it will surely lead to bold and creative fashion statements.

There are other Bollywood celebrities making their debuts this year besides Shah Rukh Khan. Additionally, Kiara Advani, who is expecting her first child with husband Sidharth Malhotra, will be making her red carpet debut. Shah Rukh Khan will soon join the select group of celebrities who have walked the famous carpet at the Met Gala, including Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Alia Bhatt.
