Taking centre stage in an engrossing session called The Journey: From Outsider to Ruler, SRK effortlessly enchanted audiences with his unparalleled talent for theatrics as well as his words. Filmmaker Karan Johar, who moderated the animated conversation, and his frequent co-star and close friend Deepika Padukone shared the limelight.
What truly stole the show was a moment of pure SRK magic — the Bollywood legend decided to showcase his iconic romantic skills not with a co-star, but with a water bottle. Demonstrating that his chemistry knows no bounds, Shah Rukh quipped, “No one interrupt while I try to romance a Baatli,” before launching into one of his most beloved dialogues from Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012):
“Teri aankhon ki namkeen mastiyan, Teri hasi ki beparwah gustakhiyan, Teri zulfon ki lehrati angdaiyaan, nahi bhoolunga main... Jab tak hai jaan, jab tak hai jaan, jab tak hai jaan…”
He then drank from the bottle with theatrical flair, adding with a smirk, “She couldn’t control herself,” prompting laughter and applause from the audience.

In a more tender moment, SRK spoke warmly of Deepika, revealing what he believes will be her most meaningful role yet. “I think the role that she is going to play the best, Inshaallah, is that of a mother now with Dua. I think she is really, really going to be a wonderful mother,” he said, referring to her daughter with Ranveer Singh.
The actor also offered insight into the emotional toll of failure. “Whenever I have failed, I have felt it twice as much — because I feel I’ve let down many people. When a film flops, I go to the bathroom and cry. I feel like I’ve insulted my fans,” he admitted, reflecting his deep sense of responsibility to his audience.
