Shah Rukh Khan was a driven young man pursuing his dreams with his theatre company long before he rose to fame and became the undisputed "King of Bollywood."
Veteran actor and SRK's close friend Amar Talwar recently shared never-before-seen black-and-white images of a young SRK travelling by train from Delhi to Kolkata, giving fans a nostalgic look at those early years.
The pictures, which are about 35 years ago, perfectly capture the spirit of a period when dreams were still developing. The montage of memories, which was put together and posted on Amar Talwar's official Instagram account, features SRK and his fellow theatregoers on a memorable journey.
One of the photos shows a young Shah Rukh standing by the train's door, exuding curiosity and vitality. Other pictures feature him using his camera, grinning at his companions, or silently taking in the scenery.
These are all straightforward, unguarded moments that capture the spirit of the trip and the companionship. Another powerful picture shows the whole group lounging at a train station, perhaps stopping for a rest along the way.
“More from that train ride 35 years ago...Delhi to Kolkata...Divya and Dipika and Shahrukh and Sanjoy and Deepak and Rituraj and Benny and Mohit, and I behind the camera, and where the hell was Barry,” Talwar captioned the post.
One of the comments on the post read, "Inspiration," another commented, "Thank you so much for these precious pictures, sir"
One person commented, "Omg how young he is thank you for sharing sir," another person commented, "From here to the TOP. What a journey it must have been"

The post has evoked strong feelings in fans by bringing back memories of a simpler time and providing a touching glimpse into the actor's life before becoming famous. These tidbits of information of SRK's humble origins and the friendships that helped to mould him give major nostalgia.
Famous for his part in Doordarshan's Shanti – Ek Ghar Ki Kahani (1994), Amar Talwar costarred with Shah Rukh in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001).
On the work front, SRK is now preparing for King, a highly anticipated Siddharth Anand film that co-stars his daughter Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone.
