Shah Rukh Khan made a remarkable debut at the 2025 Met Gala, looking effortlessly stylish in a striking black ensemble by renowned designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

The actor captivated the crowd with his impeccable fashion sense and later took to Instagram to express his gratitude to Sabyasachi for guiding him through his red carpet debut, sharing two pictures from the event with a heartfelt caption that read, "Thx @sabyasachiofficial & ur whole team for introducing me to the Met Gala. It’s not my ‘space’ but u made me feel so comfortable…becos u, like me, believe…Style & Fashion…is just being who you are. And all of u made me feel like a ‘K’!"

The striking layered necklaces with diamond-studded "K" pendants, which were a subtle yet striking nod to his renowned nickname, King Khan, were what really made him look more put together.

Fans and netizens quickly took to the comment section appreciating his look as well him taking over 'the space'. On the Met Gala 2025 red carpet, hosts Teyana Taylor and Ego Nwodim appeared unaware of Shah Rukh Khan’s global stardom, asking him, “Who are you?” The actor responded modestly with, “I am Shah Rukh.” Shah Rukh and designer Sabyasachi later talked about the ensemble in an interview with Vogue. The actor's superstar status was emphasised by Sabyasachi, who pointed out that Shah Rukh's simple departure from the hotel almost caused a stampede and drew enormous crowds as he made his way to the event.

The actor also shared details about his Met Gala ensemble designed by Sabyasachi, revealing that while his children were thrilled about his debut at the prestigious event, he himself felt a bit anxious.

He completed his regal sherwani look with several layers of ornate necklaces and a striking cane topped with a sculpted tiger head, adding an extra edge to his royal-inspired appearance.

This year Met Gala's theme was "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style". Besides Shah Rukh, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani also met their Met Gala debut this year.
