SEVENTEEN continues to prepare for the mandatory military enlistment of its members, with Hoshi and Woozi becoming the latest to announce their service plans. Following the earlier enlistment confirmations of Jeonghan and Wonwoo, the duo revealed that they would be enlisting in the latter half of 2025.
During SEVENTEEN’s annual fan meeting, SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND, held on March 20 and 21, the group’s 13 active members, including Jun, came together for a memorable event. They delighted fans with electrifying performances of their biggest hits while also taking the opportunity to share heartfelt messages.
Hoshi, known for his powerful stage presence, took a moment to address his upcoming enlistment. He shared that both he and Woozi, whose real name is Lee Ji Hoon, had received their enlistment schedules and would begin their service later in the year. "We will be able to celebrate SEVENTEEN’s 10th anniversary before enlisting," Hoshi assured fans, as quoted by Koreaboo.
The announcement was an emotional moment for the group, especially when Hoshi expressed his deep gratitude to SEVENTEEN’s leader, S.Coups (Choi Seung Cheol). "I’ve never said this before, but I’m really thankful to S.Coups for keeping all 13 of us together since we were young," he said, bringing S.Coups to tears.
Despite the upcoming enlistments, Hoshi reassured fans that SEVENTEEN’s journey was far from over. "Every performance feels even more precious now, but we’re not disappearing. We will continue working hard even after we return. We’re taking on the challenge to last forever, and we’ll need your support," he stated.
SEVENTEEN, who debuted in May 2015 with the EP 17 Carat, is set to mark their 10th anniversary on May 16, 2025. Shortly after this milestone, Hoshi and Woozi will enlist, following Wonwoo, who is scheduled to begin his service on April 3, 2025.
