The deadly terror assault in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam has caused shockwaves across the country. Twenty-six persons died; the majority of them were civilians. Several celebrities denounced the terrorist incident and extended their condolences.

Comedian Samay Raina, who is a Kashmiri Pandit, reacted to the deadly attack and said he was 'unable to sleep' after knowing about the incident.

Samay took to his social media on Wednesday and wrote on his Instagram about the attack. The comedian captioned the image, "Unable to sleep tonight."

Talking about the attack, the bodies of victims killed in the gruesome terror attack in Kashmir's Pahalgam on Tuesday were brought to Srinagar on Wednesday, where authorities held a wreath laying ceremony at the police control room.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who reached Srinagar on Wednesday night, lay wreaths on the coffins of the victims to pay his last respects.

At least 26 persons -- mostly tourists -- were killed by terrorists on Tuesday at the Baisaran meadows in Pahalgam in one of the worst terror attacks on civilians in Kashmir in the past many years.

Many Bollywood celebs, including Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Sonu Sood, Janhvi Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, and Mohanlal, also expressed shock and anger over the attacks.

Talking about Samay Raina, he was in the news recently for the comments made by Ranveer Allahbadia on his show India's Got Latent.

The Supreme Court on Monday said it would examine a plea alleging Samay Raina ridiculed the disabled, including a person with visual disability and those suffering from a rare disorder like Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).

Calling it a serious issue, a bench of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh asked senior advocate Aprajita Singh, appearing for NGO Cure SMA Foundation of India to file a proper petition instead of an interim intervention plea in the pending matter of influencer and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia.

"This is a serious issue. You file a writ petition. We will see what can be done. In writ jurisdiction we have larger scope," the bench told Singh.
