Comedian and YouTuber Samay Raina is facing legal trouble once again as the Maharashtra Cyber Department has issued a second summons against him. The issue stems from controversial statements made by Ranveer Allahbadia during his reality talent show, India’s Got Latent. The authorities have accused him of making remarks that violated legal or ethical standards, prompting them to take action.
Why Was Samay Raina Summoned?
Samay Raina was previously summoned but failed to appear before the Maharashtra Cyber Cell for a statement recording session on February 18, 2025. Instead, he requested to attend the hearing via video conference since he was on a comedy tour in the US and Canada. However, his request was denied, and the Cyber Cell insisted that he be present physically for the proceedings. Since he did not comply, a second summons was issued.
