Salman Khan recently appeared on a podcast hosted by his nephew Arhaan Khan, where he spoke candidly about life, relationships, and personal growth. During their conversation, he briefly touched upon the divorce of Arhaan’s parents, Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora, while offering words of wisdom to his nephew about living life independently.
The podcast, which marks Salman’s debut in the space, was released on Arhaan’s Dumb Biryani YouTube channel. In a heartfelt exchange, Salman emphasised the importance of self-reliance and building a future.
“This dude out here has gone through his ups and downs. After your mom and dad’s relationship (separation), you have to make it on your own. One day you will have your own family and unit. So this is what you have to work on to have your own family. The culture of having lunch and dinner with family should always be there, and there should always be a head of the family, who should be respected,” Salman advised Arhaan.
Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan’s split came as a shock to many when they announced their separation in March 2016 after 19 years of marriage. They officially finalised their divorce in May 2017. The couple had first met in their early twenties, and their love story had been one of Bollywood’s most talked-about relationships.
While discussing his plans, Arhaan revealed his dream of opening a restaurant, sharing his passion for food and hospitality. Salman, known for his quick wit, playfully questioned his nephew’s wide range of extracurricular activities. “If you want to run a restaurant, then what’s with all the classes you have joined? Fighting, gymnastics… these things you are doing for the restaurant?” he asked.
On the professional front, Salman Khan recently made a special cameo in Varun Dhawan’s Baby John. Up next, he is set to star in the much-anticipated action film Sikandar that also stars Rashmika Mandanna.
