Salman Khan has given fans a sneak peek into his upcoming film Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace by sharing a teaser of the song Tum Chand Dekh Lena.
The short clip, posted on his Instagram, offers a soft, romantic moment between Salman Khan and Chitrangada Singh, quite different from what many expected from a war-based film.
In the video, Chitrangada Singh is seen dressed in a bright pink lehenga, waiting gracefully, while Salman Khan appears nearby, dancing beside a pool with a glowing moon in the backdrop.
The visuals feel calm and dreamy, hinting at an emotional layer within the story. The full song is set to release soon. Along with the teaser, Salman Khan wrote, "Maatrubhumi ka yeh gana, Chand Dekh Lena tumhey hum nazar ayenge

Interestingly, the film has seen some major changes recently. It was earlier titled Battle of Galwan, but on 16 March, Salman Khan surprised everyone by announcing its new name, Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace. The change reflects a shift in the film’s tone, moving from a purely war-focused narrative to something more thoughtful and reflective.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between India and China, with Salman Khan playing the role of late Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu.
Shooting had already begun in Ladakh in September 2025 and was nearly complete by December. However, the team decided to revisit parts of the film.
Since February 2026, Salman Khan and Apoorva Lakhia have been reshooting several portions in Mumbai, with nearly 40 days of additional work planned. These changes also include adding a Chinese song, composed by Himesh Reshammiya, which Salman Khan will shoot once it is ready.
The decision to rework the film seems to be influenced by the current state of India-China relations. As things appear to be easing slightly, the makers are aiming to present a more balanced message.
As per a report by Mid-Day, "There has been an easing of the hostilities between the two countries. In the middle of this complex dynamic, a movie like Battle of Galwan that focused on the 2020 clash could have impacted the fragile relationship. So, Salman and Apoorva brainstormed and decided to incorporate messages of peace, harmony, and the futility of war in the narrative."
With these changes, the film is now expected to release around October, promising not just action, but also a deeper emotional story.
