Salman Khan death threats
An anonymous individual has threatened to blow up superstar Salman Khan's car with a bomb and assault the Y-Plus-protectee by invading his home, forcing Mumbai Police to strengthen security and file a case.
Officials claimed Monday that the anonymous person submitted the message to the Mumbai Traffic Police's WhatsApp helpline on Sunday morning. According to a police official, the sender threatened Khan with a vehicle bomb and an assault at his home.
Police in Worli filed a case against the unidentified guy under Section 351(2)(3) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. An investigation has been initiated.
In response to the threat, police have strengthened security around Khan's Bandra property and increased patrols.
Notably, two motorcycle riders opened fire outside Khan's home in April of last year, firing four shots outside the Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, where the actor dwells.
Salman Khan had already received threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who warned him of the consequences if he would not apologise to the Bishnoi community over the purported shooting of a blackbuck. Following the threats, Mumbai police equipped him with Y-Plus security.
