Saif Ali Khan is recovering after a shocking attack at his Bandra residence early Thursday morning. The actor was stabbed by an intruder around 2:30 AM, sustaining six wounds that required emergency surgery. He is now in stable condition at Lilavati Hospital. The incident has left the industry and fans stunned, especially as Saif's young sons, Taimur and Jeh, witnessed the traumatic event.

Filmmaker Kunal Kohli, who has worked with Saif in films like Hum Tum and Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, has urged the public to approach the situation with empathy. Speaking to ANI, Kohli emphasised the emotional toll the attack might have on Saif’s family, particularly his children. "We need to be sensitive to how the children must be feeling about this because it happened in front of them," Kohli said. He also acknowledged the difficulty Kareena Kapoor Khan must be facing as a mother during such a distressing time.

Kohli also described the incident as highly unusual for Mumbai. "This city is known for its safety. While this was unfortunate, I have full confidence in the Mumbai Police and the Maharashtra government to handle the situation effectively," he said.

Saif was swiftly taken to the hospital after the attack. Meanwhile, Saif's team has confirmed the attempted break-in and requested privacy as the investigation unfolds. The Mumbai Police have launched an extensive operation to apprehend the assailant, deploying 35 specialised teams to crack the case.
