The investigation into the attack on actor Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra residence on January 16 has taken a puzzling turn as inconsistencies emerge in the statements provided by Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Police sources have highlighted differences in their recounting of the sequence of events, raising questions about the exact details of the incident.

According to Saif, he and Kareena were in their bedroom on the 11th floor when they heard the screams of their younger son Jeh’s nanny, Eliyama Philip. Saif claimed he rushed to the scene, confronted the attacker, and was stabbed multiple times while trying to overpower him. Despite his injuries, he managed to push the intruder into a room, allowing the nanny to escape with Jeh.

In Kareena’s version, however, she stated that she arrived from the 12th floor and witnessed Saif already fighting with the attacker. This discrepancy has led investigators to consider taking joint statements from the couple to clarify the timeline.

Saif’s medical reports added another layer of intrigue. It was initially reported that his son, Taimur, took him to the hospital, but police sources now confirm it was his business partner, Afsar Zaidi. When questioned by Times Now, Zaidi declined to comment on the matter.

In response to the incident, the Mumbai Police has increased security outside Saif’s residence. Two constables are stationed in shifts, and additional safety measures, including window grills and upgraded CCTV cameras, have been installed.
