In a heartfelt moment during a recent interview, the composer duo described their connection to Rahman with a beautiful metaphor: “Our relationship with Rahman sir has been like Ekalavya and Dronacharya,” said Jigar.

“We’ve never been his assistants, never worked closely with him — just a couple of songs here and there. But what we’ve learnt from watching him, from listening to his music… it’s been priceless.”

It’s not just about the music, though. For Sachin and Jigar, Rahman’s presence in the industry has been quietly revolutionary.

“He changed everything — not just how music sounds, but how musicians live and work,” Sachin added. “He brought computers into our homes, fought for artist rights, made technology accessible. He gave us the tools to be independent — and that’s a rare gift.”
