Ronth OTT release update

Following a successful run in theatres, the Malayalam-language thriller Ronth, starring Roshan Mathew and Dileesh Pothan, is set for online streaming. The police procedural drama will now debut digitally for viewers at home after debuting on big screens on June 13, 2025.

Where and When to See Ronth

Ronth will debut on JioHotstar on July 22, 2025, according to the makers' official confirmation. A poster with the caption, "Ready for Night-Patrol!" was posted on the platform's official X (previously Twitter) account to announce the update. Ronth will be available exclusively on JioHotstar for streaming starting on July 22. The movie, which was first produced in Malayalam, will also be dubbed into Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.

What's Ronth All About?

Ronth, a gritty police procedural drama that explores one intense night in the lives of two cops, is named after the Malayalam word for patrol. The narrative centres on Yohannan, a seasoned police officer, and Dinnath, a rookie, who are tasked with night patrol work in a volatile area. The story explores how the two men confront their inner demons and the darkness that surrounds them, both within and without, as they navigate complex social tensions, personal disputes, and morally challenging situations.

The cast and crew

Arun Cherukavil, Roshan Abdul Rahoof, Krisha Kurup, Lakshmi Menon, Carmen S. Mathew, Sajan Sebastian, Kumaradas, and Kochouseph Chittilappilly are among the many supporting cast members of Ronth, in addition to Roshan Mathew and Dileesh Pothan. Rajesh Madhavan and Sudhi Koppa also make noteworthy cameos in the movie.

Renowned for his critically acclaimed film Nayattu, Shahi Kabir is the director of Ronth. Vineet Jain, Rathish Ambat, Renjith EVM, and Jojo Jose are co-producers. Manesh Madhavan did the cinematography, Praveen Mangalath did the editing, and Anil Johnson wrote the music.

The film's realistic depiction of policing, moral ambiguity, and powerful performances garnered positive reviews and helped it succeed at the box office.

What Will Happen to the Main Stars Next?

Roshan Mathew's schedule is jam-packed. He is now filming the Malayalam action movie Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies, which is based on the WWE. He also appears in upcoming films such as Chera and Ithiri Neram.

In the meantime, Dileesh Pothan will play the lead in another gripping story in Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil. Those who were unable to attend the theatrical run of Ronth can now watch the suspenseful night patrol drama from the comfort of their homes as it prepares for its digital release.
