Ronit Roy reveals Kareena Kapoor was attacked too

Veteran actor Ronit Roy recently shed fresh light on the tense aftermath of Saif Ali Khan’s harrowing stabbing attack, sharing an unsettling update: post-hospital discharge, Kareena Kapoor was also unsettled.

In a candid chat with Hindi Rush, Ronit Roy detailed the chaotic scene outside the hospital. “When Saif was leaving after his discharge, there was a massive throng of media and fans. It was overwhelming. Unfortunately, when Kareena was heading back home the same evening, their car was jostled by the crowd. She was visibly shaken,” he recalled.

Ronit explained how the incident prompted immediate action: “She called me in a panic and asked me to ensure Saif got home safely. So we moved quickly—Saif was escorted under tight security, and we coordinated with the local police. Thankfully, they both reached home without further incident. Things have stabilised since, but it was a tense moment.”

He also disclosed that during his security sweep of Saif’s residence, he noted crucial lapses. “There were clear vulnerabilities—exits weren’t secured properly, and there was minimal perimeter monitoring. I recommended upgrades, which the family promptly implemented,” he confirmed.

To summarise the terrifying attack, on January 16, a masked intruder broke into Saif Ali Khan's Bandra home and attacked him in his youngest son Jeh's bedroom. He was stabbed six times by the attacker, with two of the wounds being dangerously near his spine. Medical personnel later removed a 2.5-inch knife, attributing this to Saif's quick resistance during the incident.

Since then, Saif has returned to the limelight in his career, most recently in Jewel Thief on Netflix and costarring with Jr. NTR in the Telugu blockbuster Devara: Part 1 as a terrifying antagonist.

According to rumours, he might make an exciting comeback with Akshay Kumar in a thriller tentatively titled Haiwaan, which is directed by Priyadarshan.

On the personal front, Saif and Kareena are currently holidaying in London with their sons, Jeh and Taimur. The couple has been posting glimpses of their family getaway from the UK.
