Choreographer and filmmaker Remo D'Souza recently attended the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj, despite reports of threats to his life. To go unrecognised, he chose to visit in disguise, accompanied by his wife, Lizelle D'Souza. They shared their spiritual journey through social media, showing moments from their visit to the sacred event.

In a video Remo posted, he is seen taking a dip in the holy waters of Prayagraj, a significant ritual during the Kumbh Mela. He wore simple black traditional clothes, with his face partially covered, blending in with the crowd while fully embracing the spiritual atmosphere. The video also showed a peaceful moment where Remo received blessings from Swami Kailashanand Giri Maharaj. In another post, the couple met the spiritual leader, highlighting the importance of their spiritual journey.

Despite the threats, Remo remained focused on his personal connection to the event. He shared the video with hashtags like #harhargange, #mahakumbh2025, and #prayagraj, subtly showing his respect for the Kumbh Mela and the spiritual energy of the event.

Remo and others, including Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, and Sugandha Mishra, have reportedly received death threats. A formal police investigation is ongoing in Mumbai after an email was sent by someone using the alias "BISHNU." The sender claimed to be monitoring the individuals and mentioned threats linked to Kapil Sharma’s show, which is sponsored by Salman Khan.

However, Lizelle D'Souza clarified that the reports were false. She told Hindustan Times that the couple received spam emails, which they reported to the police. The cyber department is looking into it, and Lizelle believes the situation has been misunderstood. She reassured that there is no reason to worry about the threats.
