Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab has received approval from the Andhra Pradesh government for a hike in ticket prices ahead of its theatrical release.
According to the latest government directive, increased pricing has been permitted for both paid premiere shows and regular screenings of The Raja Saab across the state, effective from this week.
Scheduled to release on January 9 (Friday), the film will have paid premiere shows starting Thursday. Ticket prices for these special screenings have been capped at Rs 1,000. For regular shows beginning January 9, ticket rates have also been revised. As per the order, prices at single-screen theatres have been increased by Rs 150, bringing the cost per seat to Rs 297.
Multiplexes across Andhra Pradesh have also been granted a ticket price hike of ₹200, with tickets now priced at Rs 377 per seat for the first ten days of the film’s theatrical run. Additionally, the film’s team has received permission to screen up to five shows per day during this period.
A few days ago, director Maruthi further fuelled excitement among fans eagerly awaiting The Raja Saab by sharing a special message on X. He wrote, "Telugu audience has seen the entertaining version of Prabhas. But Pan India has never. After coming out of the theatre, you will remember Prabhas from this film for many years. The get-up and everything… it is a great episode… and has never been seen on Indian screen.”
The film was initially announced in January 2024 and faced multiple postponements throughout 2025. It is now finally set to hit theatres on January 9.
