Superstar Rajinikanth embraced his spiritual side once again as he visited the sacred Badrinath Dham in Uttarakhand on Monday.
As the revered temple gets ready for its yearly winter closure next month, the seasoned actor offered Lord Badri Vishal sincere prayers in hopes of receiving blessings.
According to the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, Rajinikanth was warmly welcomed upon arrival. The officials honoured him with prasad and a tulsi garland, a traditional gesture symbolising divine blessings.
Situated high in the Himalayas, Badrinath Dham is one of India’s four Char Dham pilgrimage sites and draws lakhs of devotees each year — especially during this time, when visitors hurry to offer prayers before the temple’s gates close for the harsh winter.

Dressed simply in a grey sweater and shawl, Rajinikanth was photographed offering prayers at the temple, his face calm and reflective.
The actor is surrounded by fans in the now-widely shared social media photos, which display his trademark humility. His spiritual devotion was praised by fans on the internet, who described it as "inspiring" and "heartwarming."
Rajinikanth stopped briefly in Rishikesh before travelling to Badrinath, where he was seen having a casual roadside meal with some friends.
The actor, dressed in a white kurta and dhoti, was spotted grinning and engaging in light conversation. This moment served as another reminder to fans of why he is frequently commended for maintaining his groundedness in the face of his enormous fame.
As per the temple authorities, the portals of Badrinath Dham will close for the winter on 25 November at 2:56 p.m., marking the end of the annual pilgrimage season. The temple will reopen in spring next year, once weather conditions improve.
