In a calm and deeply spiritual ceremony at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore, actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru began a new chapter in their lives.

Choosing a yogic wedding — the Linga Bhairavi Vivaha with the Bhuta Shuddhi ritual — the couple celebrated their union surrounded by close family and friends. Samantha shared glimpses of the ceremony on social media, showing off the stunning ring she’s been wearing since February, sparking excitement among fans.

The wedding announcement was soon followed by a notable post from Raj’s ex-wife, Shhyamali De. Known for her thoughtful and philosophical social media presence, Shhyamali shared an image of the vast universe with an arrow pointing to a distant planet, captioning it, “We live here.”

It was her first post after Samantha and Raj confirmed their wedding, and fans quickly speculated on its meaning.

In the days leading up to the ceremony, Shhyamali had posted other cryptic messages.

On Sunday, she wrote, “Desperate people do desperate things,” which quickly caught attention online. She also shared a more reflective post about letting go, featuring a picture of a woman with bottu and sindoor, writing, “Runanubhanda Rupena Pashu Patni Suta Aalaya Runakshaye Kshyayaanthi Tatra Parivedana. ~ Padma Puran.”

She explained, “Through the bond of past debts (runānubandha), one becomes connected with pets, spouse, children, and home. When those karmic debts are exhausted, those relationships come to an end, and with them, the associated joys and sorrows cease.”

Samantha and Raj’s relationship has also been professional as well as personal. They have worked together on The Family Man Season 2, Citadel: Honey Bunny, and Samantha’s first production, Subham.

Their upcoming project, Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, is already in the works. The couple, rumoured to have started dating in 2024, are believed to have gotten engaged in February this year.

For fans, this wedding marks a joyful milestone. Samantha, who was previously married to actor Naga Chaitanya from 2017 to 2021, and Raj, who married Shhyamali in 2015 before their reported separation in 2022, are both stepping into a new beginning.
