Punjabi singer Kanwar Singh Grewal slams Rajvir Jawanda's death rumours after accident: 'He is fighting for his life'

Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda recently got injured in a deadly bike accident. The singer and actor is currently undergoing treatment for injuries to his head and spine at a hospital in Mohali, Punjab.

While Rajvir is still admitted to the hospital in a critical condition, several misleading social media ‘RIP’ posts started swirling around the internet. However, fellow Punjabi singer Kanwar Singh Grewal has now come forward to debunk the rumours about Rajvir Jawanda’s death.

Kanwar took to his Instagram and shared a video sharing an update on Rajvir’s condition. He informed the fans that he recently visited the hospital to meet Rajvir, who is receiving proper medical care. He revealed that Rajvir’s condition is still serious and is currently undergoing treatment.

He described the rumours as deeply hurtful and said, “I am at the Fortis Hospital in Mohali, where Rajvir’s treatment is ongoing, and he is recovering.”

Kanwar also requested people to stop spreading misinformation, adding, “Rajvir is fighting for his life. With folded hands, I request people not to make fun of someone’s sadness. Please pray for Rajvir.”

Rajvir Jawanda posted a video to Instagram promoting his new song the day before he met with an accident. Kulwinder Billa and Kanwar Grewal, along with other Punjabi singers, paid him a visit at the hospital following the tragic event as a sign of support.

For the unversed, Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda, who rose to fame with the song ’Kali Jawande Di’, was seriously injured in an accident in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district.

According to PTI, the police said that he was going to Shimla on a motorcycle on Saturday. The police further noted that the accident took place in the Baddi area when he lost control of the motorcycle.

The singer was rushed to the Fortis Hospital in Mohali, Punjab, in an "extremely critical" condition. The 35-year-old singer has sustained serious head and spine injuries in a road accident. The singer also suffered cardiac arrest on his way to the hospital. He was put on ventilator support and is still in a critical condition.
