Pradeep Ranganathan's films have a great run at the box office, and with each new hit, he becomes one of Tamil cinema's most reliable crowd-pleasers. With this success, the actor-director has teamed up with filmmaker and songwriter Vignesh Shivan to develop the romantic sci-fi movie Love Insurance Company (LIK). But it seems that the long-awaited project has been delayed again.
The latest news from the trade world reported that Love Insurance Company, which was supposed to come out on December 18, 2025, will not come out this year. Amutha Bharathi, a trade analyst, has said that the film's producers have opted to move its release date to early 2026.
If the new plan works out, LIK will probably come out in theaters on February 12 or 13, 2026, which is the weekend before Valentine's Day.
The producers are anticipated to make an official announcement soon. At first, the team wanted to stick to the December 2025 release date even if they hadn't signed an OTT deal.
But the decision to push out the movie was made, according to reports, to prevent a big box office clash with James Cameron's Hollywood spectacular Avatar: Fire and Ash, which is set to come out around the world on December 19, 2025.
