Mirage, a crime thriller by Jeethu Joseph that stars Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali, came out in theaters on September 19, 2025. It's almost time for it to come out on digital. When it first came out in cinemas, people had varied feelings about it. But it will find a new audience online.

When and Where to Watch

You may stream Mirage on SonyLIV starting on October 20, 2025. The platform verified the news on social media by saying, "Every story has a secret." This one keeps a lot of secrets. Starting October 20th, #Mirage will only be available on SonyLIV.

People who didn't see the movie in theaters may now look forward to witnessing Jeethu Joseph's newest thriller at home. The story is about a labyrinth of lies and secrets.

Mirage is a compelling criminal story about Abhirami (Aparna Balamurali), whose life goes off the rails after her fiancé Kiran goes missing without a trace. Kiran was associated to a dubious financial consultancy organization before he went missing. This shows that there was a lot of dishonesty and corruption going on.

Abhirami works with Aswin (Asif Ali), an internet investigative journalist, to learn the truth. Like the title of the movie implies, they have to work together to go through a maze of falsehoods, betrayals, and stunning realities that make it hard to discern what's genuine and what's not.

People who made the movie

Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali are back together in the movie. In Kishkindha Kaandam, their chemistry wowed spectators. The ensemble cast also features Hakim Shahjahan, Hannah Reji Koshy, Saravanan, Sampath Raj, and Deepak Parambol in prominent roles.

Jeethu Joseph, who is known for his smash thrillers Drishyam and Drishyam 2, is in charge of Mirage. The story was written by Aparna R. Tarakad, while Jeethu and Srinivasan Abrol worked together to write the screenplay.

The movie's music and background score were written by Vishnu Shyam, Satheesh Kurup shot it, and Vinayakh edited it.

What people thought and how they acted

Mirage earned a mix of positive and terrible reviews from both critics and audiences when it came out. Some people loved the acting and Jeethu Joseph's typical suspenseful direction, but others believed the pacing and story structure might have been better. Even though the movie didn't do well at the box office, its engaging story and the romance between the two major characters should get people to watch it on OTT.

What will Asif Ali do next?

Asif Ali is preparing for his next movie, Tiki Taka, an action thriller that will be directed by Rohit VS, who is recognized for his work on Kala. The movie will be a gritty, fast-paced drama that takes place in a city. Some of the main actors are Wamiqa Gabbi, Sanchana Nataraj, Naslen, and Lukman Avaran.

Mirage is returning to SonyLIV, so fans can once again explore Jeethu Joseph's world of mystery, emotion, and deception, where every secret leads to another twist.
