Megastar Chiranjeevi is getting ready for an exciting reunion with director Bobby Kolli for their second project together, which is tentatively called Mega158. Adding to the excitement, there are strong rumours in the industry that Malayalam superstar Mohanlal may play a major role in the film. This could be the first time the two legendary actors have worked together on screen.

Reports going around online say that Mega158 is turning into a gangster-based action drama with a lot of emotional depth. People say that Mohanlal has been asked to play a major role. If this happens, it would be a big deal for Indian cinema because it would bring together two of the biggest stars from the Telugu and Malayalam film industries.

As per the report published in Pinkvilla, it is said that a young, upcoming actress might play Chiranjeevi's daughter. But there hasn't been an official announcement yet, and fans are eagerly waiting for the production team to confirm it.

The movie is the second time that director Bobby Kolli has worked with Chiranjeevi, after their hit movie Waltair Veerayya in 2023. Reports also say that the producers are thinking about hiring a new music composer who hasn't worked with Bobby Kolli before. This would give the project a new sound.

Chiranjeevi is getting ready for the release of Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, which Anil Ravipudi is directing. The action-comedy movie stars Nayanthara as the main female character. It will come out on January 12, 2026, for the Sankranti festival.

The Megastar has also finished filming his fantasy action movie Viswambhara, which is set to come out in theatres in 2026, but the exact date is still up in the air. Chiranjeevi also has another highly anticipated project in the works with Srikanth Odela, the director of The Paradise.

Mohanlal recently had a small part in the movie Bha Bha Ba, which starred Dileep. Next, you can see him in the fantasy action movie Vrusshabha, which Nanda Kishore directed. The movie is about a businessman who starts having visions from a past life in which his own son is his enemy. Vrusshabha will come out on December 25, 2025.

Mohanlal has a lot of big projects coming up, like Drishyam 3, which will come out in the summer of 2026, and others like Patriot, Jailer 2, Thuddakkam, and Khalifa. These will keep him busy with a wide range of roles.
