The wait is finally over as the chilling trailer of Jatadhara has been unveiled, and it’s already sending shivers down the internet.
Superstar Mahesh Babu launched the film’s gripping trailer this week, giving fans their first look at what promises to be one of the most spine-tingling cinematic experiences of the year.
Directed by Venkat Kalyan, the supernatural thriller stars Sudheer Babu and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles, with Divya Khossla making a special appearance.
The trailer unviels a world where legendary figures from antiquity refuse to die, and it was full with heart-stopping scenes, eerie imagery, and magical undertones.
In the universe of Jatadhara, black magic is more than just superstition; it is a force that can unleash unspeakable darkness.
The plot, which has its roots in long-forgotten legend, centres on a treasure hunt that takes a nasty turn when long-standing curses are broken and restless ghosts rise to recover what is rightfully theirs. Every belief has repercussions in this world where faith and fear coexist.
Speaking about his vision, director Venkat Kalyan explained, “Jatadhara is more than a supernatural thriller; it’s a journey into our cultural underbelly where myths breathe and darkness listens. I wanted to create a world where every ritual holds power, and every legend carries a price.”
Lead actor Sudheer Babu described his experience as transformative, saying, “This is one of the most intense and challenging roles I’ve taken on. The story’s depth and the energy it carries are unlike anything I’ve experienced before.”
Adding to that, Sonakshi Sinha shared, “What makes Jatadhara powerful is how it weaves the supernatural into real human emotions. The fear here isn’t just external — it’s something that lingers in the mind long after the story ends.”

Presented by Zee Studios and Prerna Arora, Jatadhara is produced by Umesh Kumar Bansal, Shivin Narang, Aruna Agarwal, Prerna Arora, Shilpa Singhal, and Nikhil Nanda, with Akshay Kejriwal and Kussum Arora as co-producers.
Releasing on 7 November in Hindi and Telugu, Jatadhara promises a breathtaking blend of myth, mystery, and menace where faith is tested, fear takes form, and the darkness has a voice of its own.
