Rishab shared the news on X (formerly Twitter) with a fresh poster of the film. His caption read, “A divine saga that resonates beyond borders and languages! Kantara Chapter 1 English Version releasing in cinemas worldwide from October 31st. Experience the epic journey of faith, culture, and devotion in all its glory.”

The English version of Kantara: Chapter 1 runs for 2 hours, 14 minutes, and 45 seconds — a crisp edit of the film that’s already been a massive box-office success. Within 20 days of its original theatrical release, the film collected an impressive Rs 535.15 crore. Starring Rishab Shetty in the lead, the cast also includes Jayaram, Rukmini Vasanth, and Gulshan Devaiah in key roles.

The announcement comes shortly after Rishab shared a glimpse into the physical toll the film’s climax took on him. On Instagram, he posted a photo showing his swollen leg from the shoot, writing, “This was during the climax shoot — a swollen leg, an exhausted body… but today, the climax has become something that millions watch and admire. This was only possible through the blessings of the divine energy we believe in.”

Kantara: Chapter 1 is both a prequel and an expansion of the 2022 blockbuster Kantara, diving deeper into the mythos surrounding the Daiva tradition and the roots of faith that anchor the narrative.

While the film continues its global theatrical run, reports suggest it will stream on Amazon Prime Video after its cinema release. The OTT premiere date hasn’t been revealed yet, but fans can expect an official update soon. For now, Rishab Shetty’s saga is set to echo worldwide — this time, in English.
