Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office  Day 5: Rishab Shetty's film collects Rs 30.50 Cr net, nears to Rs 300 Cr mark India net

Rishab Shetty returns in Kantara Chapter 1

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 is enjoying a successful run at the box office. The movie was released in the theatres on October 2 and has already crossed the Rs 200 crore milestone.

According to the trade website, Kantara: Chapter 1 has collected around Rs 30.50 crore net in India on its fifth day of release for all languages. The film is estimated to earn around Rs 8.50 to Rs 9.50 crore net in India in Hindi.

Kantara: Chapter 1’s total collection now stands at Rs 255.75 crore net in India.

The film opened in the theatres with Rs 61.85 crore net in India and saw a decline on its second day of release, earning Rs 45.4 crore net in India. However, the prequel of Kantara collected Rs 55 crore net in India on its third day and Rs 63 crore on its fourth day.

The film saw a steep decline on its fifth day, but still managed to give stiff competition to the recent releases like Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.

Kantara: Chapter 1 delves into the sacred origins of the ethereal land of Kantara, set in the fourth century AD. Its rich mythology, ancient conflicts, and divine interventions are explored in depth in this chapter, which weaves a tale of faith, fire, and folklore that was created from the land's very soil.

The film includes Rishab Shetty, Sapthami Gowda, Gulshan Devaiah, Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, PD Satish Chandra, and Prakash Thuminad.

Rishab Shetty is the writer, director, and star of Kantara: Chapter 1, which is produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the esteemed Hombale Films banner. The original's magical world was largely created by B. Ajaneesh Loknath's music and Arvind S. Kashyap's cinematography. Kantara: Chapter 1 was released in the theatres on October 2, coinciding with Dussehra.
