Dies Irae OTT release: When and where to watch the Pranav Mohanlal starrer horror flick online

The Malayalam movie was directed by Rahul Sadasivan and will be available to stream on JioHotstar on December 5, 2025. People have been talking a lot about the movie before it comes out on OTT because it has a terrifying location, a fascinating plot, and great performances.

JioHotstar Will Show Dies Irae

The frightening story and flawless execution of Dies Irae earned good reviews right away after the movie came out in theaters on Halloween, October 31. A little over a month after it came out in theaters, the makers of the movie have now announced its release on digital platforms. JioHotstar announced the release on social media and claimed that OTTplay Premium customers would be able to view the movie starting on December 5. The site hasn't confirmed yet if the movie would be available in more than one language.

A Look into the Supernatural

Pranav Mohanlal plays Rohan in Dies Irae. He is a wealthy architect whose life goes insane after his ex-girlfriend Kani dies in a strange way. When he goes to her house after she dies, strange things start to happen to him.

Rohan quickly senses Kani's energy about him, but he doesn't know why. In his search for answers, he finds terrifying things about souls that won't let go of the living world and trauma that never goes away.

This Malayalam horror movie is one of the most atmospheric of the year because it combines psychological tension with otherworldly fright.

The roles of the actors

Along with Pranav Mohanlal's superb acting, Jibin Gopinath pops out as Potti, Kani's neighbor who gets caught up in the mystery as it unfolds. Arun Ajikumar also does a great job in a small but impactful role.

Not only did the movie get outstanding reviews, but it also did well at the box office, which was another success for Rahul Sadasivan.

Rahul Sadasivan is an incredible director. He has made three great movies in a row: Bhoothakaalam, Bramayugam, and Dies Irae. Revathy and Mammootty won state prizes for their parts in his past films, and Dies Irae keeps him at the top of the list of the most thrilling voices in Malayalam horror movies.
