The buzz around filmmaker Atlee’s upcoming project AA22xA6 has grown even stronger with reports confirming that Deepika Padukone will play a pivotal role in the high-profile film.
According to insiders, her character is described as fierce and central to the unfolding drama, not just a cameo.
After wrapping up her schedule for Shah Rukh Khan’s King in Poland, Deepika is set to join Allu Arjun and Atlee by the end of October.
An insider shared, “Her role has remained the same since she came onboard in June. It’s a strong part, essential to the first and second acts of the story.” This confirms that her character is integral to the narrative alongside Allu Arjun.
Adding to the excitement, Allu Arjun will portray an entire family tree in the film—a grandfather, a father, and two sons—making it a quadruple role, the first of his career.
“Allu insisted on playing all four characters himself. After seeing the look test, Atlee felt it worked perfectly. Audiences will get to see four different avatars of Allu Arjun in one film,” the source added.
Deepika has set aside her dates from late October to the end of December. The first schedule will establish her character, while November will see high-octane action sequences, including a chase choreographed with a South Korean stunt team and dialogue-heavy confrontations. December will take the unit to the UAE, where pivotal emotional scenes and a mid-film twist will be shot.

Atlee has reportedly prepared this character specifically with Deepika in mind. Her presence is expected to add both emotional depth and dramatic intensity to the first half of the film while driving the story into its larger-than-life second act.
While details about the project remain under wraps, the combination of Atlee, Deepika Padukone, and Allu Arjun has already set high expectations.
