Balakrishna rejects Jailer 2 and Andhra King Taluka? Report

Fans call Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna "NBK," and he continues to make bold career choices after decades in the fikm industry. The veteran actor is now busy with Akhanda 2, the long-awaited sequel to his 2021 mass action hit directed by Boyapati Sreenu, and an untitled mass entertainer with Gopichand Malineni, which is about to start production.

According to latest reports, Balakrishna has turned down two big projects, which has shocked many in the industry.

Rejects Andhra King Taluka and Jailer 2

As per an article published in Telugu 360, Balakrishna was first asked to be in the big-budget movie Andhra King Taluka, which was made by Mythri Movie Makers. It was said that the production company offered the older actor a huge salary for a major role, but Balakrishna politely turned it down.

Later, the team hired Kannada star Upendra for the same part, and he has now officially signed on for the project.

In another big news story, Balakrishna was also in advanced talks for Rajinikanth's next movie, Jailer 2. This is the sequel to the 2023 hit movie directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. According to sources cited by the publication, the Akhanda star was almost done with the deal but chose to back out for reasons that have not been made public.

There has been a lot of talk lately that famous Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil has been cast in the role that was first offered to Balakrishna. The production team is expected to make an official announcement soon.
