When and Where to watch Bad Girl

The film's OTT arrival was announced by JioHotstar with the caption: "Some stories are too 'bad' to ignore." #BadGirl will only be available to stream on JioHotstar starting November 4."

Fans who missed the movie in theatres can now watch the much-talked-about drama from the comfort of their own homes on one of India's top streaming services.

The story is about a journey of rebellion and self-discovery. Bad Girl is about Ramya (played by Anjali Sivaraman), a young woman who is looking for love and acceptance while fighting against what society expects of her and what is right and wrong.

Bad Girl trailer:

Ramya has to deal with constant pressure to fit in from the time she is in school until she is an adult. She is always called a "bad girl" for living life on her own terms. The movie looks at her emotional struggles, her journey to self-acceptance, and the inner strength she finds as she deals with love, identity, and social stigma.

The Cast and Crew

The movie stars Anjali Sivaraman in the lead role. This is another bold and nuanced performance from the actress who is best known for her work in Netflix's Class. Chitra Iyer, a well-known playback singer, is her mother.

Shanthipriya, Saranya Ravichandran, Hridhu Haroon, Teejay Arunasalam, and Sashank Bommireddipalli are just a few of the other actors who are in the supporting cast.

Varsha Bharath wrote and directed Bad Girl. This is her first time directing a movie, but she has helped with well-known ones like Udhayam NH4, Visaranai, and Vada Chennai.

A Strong Partnership

Vetrimaaran and Anurag Kashyap are co-producing the movie. They are two of India's most respected creative people. Bad Girl is the last movie made by Vetrimaaran, whose company has since closed.

Amit Trivedi wrote the music for the movie, and Preetha Jayaraman, Jagadeesh Ravi, and Prince Anderson shot it. Radha Sridhar edited it.

From the Festival Circuit to Streaming Around the World

Bad Girl had its world premiere at the 54th International Film Festival Rotterdam on February 7, 2025, before it came out in theatres. Critics praised the movie's honest storytelling and daring themes.

The film's OTT premiere on November 4 will make it available to a much larger audience. It will appeal to people who like stories that challenge social norms and look at the difficulties of being a modern woman.
