Actress Mehreen Pirzadaa responds to rumours about her marriage: 'When I do decide to the whole world will know'

After enduring the speculation for years, she finally decided to speak out and put an end to the rumours.

Popular South Indian actress Mehreen Pirzadaa, has been recently in the headlines after rumours about her alleged marriage started doing the rounds on the internet. The actress took to her social media on Tuesday and cleared the air around her marital status.

For quite some time, there have been repeated claims and whispers suggesting that Mehreen was secretly married. After enduring the speculation for years, she finally decided to speak out and put an end to the rumours.

On December 16, Mehreen shared a statement on her Instagram Stories, directly responding to the misinformation being spread about her personal life.

She wrote, “Nowadays, it's bizarre how misinformation can spread without any repercussions for it. I have stayed shut about this for 2 years, but because of constant harassment, I choose to speak up today.”

The actress went on to name a publication and stated that she had been wrongly linked to an unknown individual—someone she neither knows nor has ever interacted with.

Calling out the false claims, Mehreen added, “Clearly a low life who's hacked into my Wikipedia and tried to get his 2 mins of fame. So I am setting the record straight. I’m not married to anyone. But trust me when I do decide to, I promise you the whole world will know!”

Standing by her side, Mehreen’s brother and actor Gurfateh Pirzada also extended his support. He reshared her post on social media and strongly condemned the inaccurate reporting and baseless rumours surrounding her personal life.

Mehreen is known for her work in Telugu and Tamil movies like Nenjil Thunivirundhal, Mahanubhavudu, Raja the Great and F2: Fun and Frustration. She then made her Bollywood debut with the film Phillauri alongside Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh.
