Rashmika Mandanna, often hailed as Pan-India’s biggest heroine, continues to captivate audiences across languages with her effortless charm and powerful performances. While fans eagerly waited for her presence at the trailer launch of her upcoming film Thamma, the actress couldn’t make it to the event. Currently in Sicily, shooting for Cocktail 2, Rashmika sent across a warm, heartfelt video message that instantly connected with everyone at the launch.
In her message, Rashmika began by addressing her absence with characteristic honesty and affection. She said, “Even though I couldn’t be there in person, how could I ever say no when my Alok calls? Hi everyone! First of all, I hope you’re all doing super, super, super well. I’m so sorry I couldn’t make it to the trailer launch today. Dinoo sir has me shooting for Cocktail 2 in Sicily right now.”
The audience at the event responded with cheers as her words were played on screen. Her acknowledgement of her bond with the Thamma team, particularly with director Alok, made it evident how close the film is to her heart.
Rashmika then spoke about her excitement for the film itself. “But I truly hope you loved the Thamma trailer and our brand-new Maddock Horror Comedy Universe logo! Tadaka is such a strong and special character, and it’s been an absolute honour and privilege to bring her alive on screen. I loved every bit of playing her, and I can’t wait for you all to meet her this Diwali in theatres!”

The actress’ words highlighted not only her love for the role but also the larger creative ambition of the Maddock banner to build a distinct horror-comedy universe. Rashmika’s confidence in the film and her character only amped up the anticipation surrounding the release.
She didn’t forget to reassure fans about her upcoming participation. “And don’t worry I’ll definitely be joining in for all the promotions from here on. Sending you all big love, warm hugs, and the tightest kisses. Have a wonderful evening, guys! Oh, and one last thing—Yeh Diwali, Thamma wali!” she concluded with a playful smile that drew applause from the launch attendees.
Beyond Thamma, Rashmika has a packed lineup of films. The actress will next be seen reprising her beloved role of Srivalli in Pushpa 3, one of the most awaited sequels in Indian cinema. She also headlines The Girlfriend and Rainbow, two projects that promise to showcase her versatility with emotionally rich characters.
