Ram Teri Ganga Maili actress Mandakini is mourning the loss of her father, Joseph, who passed away on the morning of July 2. The former actress took to social media to share the heartbreaking news and pay tribute to her beloved father through a deeply emotional post.

Posting a picture of him on Instagram, Mandakini expressed her sorrow in a heartfelt message that read: “My heart is shattered today… I lost my beloved father this morning. No words can express the pain of this goodbye. Thank you, Papa, for your endless love, wisdom, and blessings. You will forever live in my heart.!”

Her fans sent prayers and condolences to the actress and her family for their loss.


In Raj Kapoor's seminal 1985 film Ram Teri Ganga Maili, which is renowned for its audacious plot and moving depiction of rural India, Mandakini gained popularity for her iconic performance as Ganga Sahay. She became well-known overnight thanks to her performance, which is still regarded as one of Bollywood's most memorable debuts.

She went on to star in a number of other films after her breakthrough performance, such as Dance Dance, Pyaar Karke Dekho, and Kahan Hai Kanoon. Her presence and contributions to Indian cinema are still warmly remembered, even though she eventually left the spotlight.

Rinpoche Thakur, a former Buddhist monk who now runs a Tibetan Herbal Centre. The couple has two children—a son named Rabbil and a daughter, Rabze Innaya.
