Ram Kapoor discusses Akshay Kumar's box office struggles

Akshay Kumar had several releases last year, but unfortunately, none of them made a significant impact at the box office. Despite his consistent presence in films, many cinephiles speculated that the actor's choice of roles had become repetitive, which may have contributed to the lack of success. Recently, actor Ram Kapoor making waves recently for his superb weight-loss, talked about Akshay's filmography, acknowledging that it's easy for people to critique from the outside.

He also shared his perspective on how actors, including Akshay, often commit to multiple projects well in advance, sometimes without anticipating the challenges that may arise during filming. Kapoor emphasized that the pressure of juggling various films can sometimes affect the overall outcome of an actor's career, making it difficult to deliver consistent hits.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, when Ram Kapoor was asked about the belief that Akshay Kumar’s films aren't succeeding because of their repetitive nature, he responded by explaining, "It’s easy for somebody to see from the outside."

Shedding light on the same, he went on to elaborate that the actors commit to a lot of projects 2-3 years in advance due to the lack of choice.

"One can’t suddenly become arrogant and refuse to feature in their next," added Ram Kapoor.

Ram Kapoor explained during the conversation that when actors sign a film, they commit to dates that are often set years in advance, sometimes even longer. This is how the process typically works for many actors. He said, "So, unfortunately, we might say it’s repetitive, but he has signed 5 years in advance. Now, he doesn’t have a choice, he has to do it."

Recently, Maddock Films unveiled the trailer, which showcases intense moments from the 1965 India-Pakistan Air War. The preview highlights Akshay and Veer as Air Force officers, setting the tone for the patriotic story.
