In the film fraternity, success isn't always a straight line. Even the biggest stars have times when they fail, but what makes their legacy is their ability to get back up.

In South Indian movies, there have been many inspiring comebacks like this, where actors turned problems into opportunities and got back in the spotlight.

Pawan Kalyan

Pawan Kalyan had a lot of success at first, but things went wrong after Khushi. But he bounced back with Jalsa and then made a huge hit with Gabbar Singh, which proved that he was still a star. In recent times, after a film like Hari Hara Veera Mallu, he bagged a blockbuster hit with OG and now Ustaad Bhagat Singh.

Nandamuri Balakrishna

Nandamuri Balakrishna had a hard time, even though he had had some hits before. Movies like Narasimha Naidu and Lakshmi Narasimha helped a little, but Simha made a strong comeback and took back control. While his recent film Akhanda 2 received flak on social media, he is gearing up for his next NBK111.

Nagarjuna

After successes like Annamayya, Nagarjuna went through a tough time. After a few bad movies, he made a big comeback with Santhosham, which people really liked. After back-to-back films that did not work, the actor bagged a hit with Kuberaa recently and is next gearing up for King100.

Keerthy Suresh

After her praised role in Mahanati, Keerthy Suresh's career took a turn for the worse. Some of her movies didn't do well, but Dasara brought her back to life and became a big hit. While she has been part of many films after that, nothing has really been a blockbuster again.

Anushka Shetty

Anushka Shetty became famous for her role in Arundhati, but she had trouble keeping up that level of success. But the Baahubali franchise made her a star all over India, which was a big deal in her career. But right now, she is also struggling to get a hit yet again.

Chiranjeevi

At the height of his career, Chiranjeevi took a long break from movies. He came back with Khaidi No. 150, and after a few mixed results, he had a big hit with Waltair Veerayya, which reminded people of how popular he still is. After a couple of flops with Bhola Shankar and Acharya, he bagged a Rs 300 crore hit with Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu recently.

Rajinikanth

Rajinikanth had to deal with a string of bad movies, like Kaala and Annatthhe. But he made a strong comeback with Jailer, which brought back his old screen presence and became a hit. Rajinikanth’s recent film Coolie is a flop at the box office and he is waiting for Jailer 2 to bag another massive hit.

Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan went through a similar rough patch before making a great comeback with Vikram. The movie was a hit at the box office and also introduced him to a new group of fans. Thug Life was not received well by the audience. So hence his fans are waiting for something big again.
